Laura started her career with Shrake Group as an unlicensed assistant. Her personality and eagerness to get more involved inspired her to get her license shortly thereafter She had fallen in love with all things real estate...the people, the process and the properties themselves! Having grown up in Chicago's western suburbs, once Laura was married and started a family, she found her heart leading her back. Since relocating her family from Chicago to Wheaton, Laura has grown Shrake Group's west and southwest suburb presence. She is deeply connected to her community, and her knowledge of the schools, businesses, activities, and town histories shines through when buyers are searching and when sellers are ready to list! Being on a Top Producing team her entire career, Laura negotiates with confidence, and has the trust of her clients to get the job done right. She is dedicated to guiding and educating her clients throughout the entire process. She makes what could easily be a stressful time into an exciting and smooth one for her clients. Ashley supports Shrake Group as a valuable advisor. After many years juggling real estate sales while excelling in her full-time work and her successful pursuit of an Master of Business Administration degree from London Business School, Ashley has "settled down" into impactful not-for-profit work with the American Red Cross. She maintains her real estate license in a holding company.
Ashley has over 12 years’ experience in relationship building, specializing in corporate development and strategic cultivation of complex alliances. Ashley has worked in sports, real estate, and hospitality development. Most recently she worked for the Chicago Cubs Baseball Club and Ricketts family in London, England, developing European relationships to promote the sport of baseball internationally. Before her time in London, Ashley worked in corporate partnership development and activation for the Chicago Cubs Baseball Club, Chicago Bears Football Club, and across international active entertainment brands owned by Red Frog Events. In addition to her relationship management skills, she has worked in real estate development, both commercial and residential, for Hickory Street Capital and Coldwell Banker Realty. As one of only three employees at the launch of the Ricketts family real estate development firm, she managed all stakeholder administration, marketing and communications, project management, and operations of their $250M mixed-use retail project. She had the honor to work with local neighborhood and government groups to map out, develop, and launch community assets and programming.
In addition to Ashley's career, she stays in touch with her passions as an advisor/investor for several start-ups in tech and consumer goods, and sits on multiple professional boards such as DePaul University Alumni Relations, Kellstadt Marketing Group advisory board, and the Chicago Yacht Club. Ashley enjoys long runs on the Chicago lakefront with her Golden Doodle, Fitzgerald, or visiting friends and family in Europe. Ashley is a dual citizen of the United States and Ireland and enjoys learning more about her heritage. Finally, she enjoys sailing and tries to spend her summers on a sailboat in a regatta or on a leisure sail at sunset.
